We first had the Graco Sweetpeace swing, which my daughter screamed at the top of her lungs when she was in it. Then we bought the Fisher Price Lil Lamb Cradle swing which my daughter did ok in it but the motor kept making a knocking noise. Finally bought this one after reading the reviews. OMG the motor has no sound at all! My daughter has been using this since she was 1.5 month old. She's over 3 months old now and absolutely loves the swing! It's the only way/place she'll nap during the day. The cricket sound puts her to sleep!I am going back to work and we will be buying another one for my mother in law's house since she will be babysitting her during the day. We could've bought a used second swing on craigslist but this is the only swing she'll nap in. The cricket sound combined with the smooth cradling motion of the swing just puts her right out! Read more 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful Great Baby Pleaser, By This review is from: Bright Starts Ingenuity Cradle and Sway Swing (Baby Product) We just got the Bright Stars Ingenuity Swing and Sway swing and its great.Construction: When you first open the box it looks like a lot of pieces but once you start the assembly you realize its not really. All you need is a medium sized phillips head screw driver. They include a plastic "wrench" to hold the nuts on the actual swing arm. Everything is solid and doesn't take long to put together. From open box to working swing took about 20 minutes for me. Features: The speed sensing function is great. You can also manually adjust the speed with a simple but effect push button. The music volume can be controlled as well as having "nature sounds." The nature sound amounts to a chirping cricket in sync with the swing. Its pretty annoying at first but you just tune it out after about 5 minutes. There is a timer also. You can choose from 30-45-60 minute lengths. Most people don't want their child in a swing longer than most of these times so... Does all of the things you would expect a swing to do. Would have given it 5 stars except that the music cuts off much too quickly and lacks smooth transition between tunes. Also, the nature sounds are on an even shorter timer than the music. The music and nature sounds should stay on while the swing is on (if sound is on). It also does take a bit to put it together but that wasn't that big of a deal to me. We've had the swing now for about 6 weeks and are still on the first set of batteries. |
